as sad as it was, i'm glad in canon Ianto dies... because that would be the only way he can escape from jack harkness... poor character, i really don't agree with RTD writing his story to become a Greek tragedy...

Jack is the last person to worry about what Gwen's mom said about the gays. This doesn't even make sense on Jack's part. He doesn't even sound like he likes Ianto then when he's not going to be getting what he wants, all of the sudden...well I guess this could have gone with the show. Jack always did run hot and cold as far as Ianto went. So tomorrow in the light of day everything goes back the way they were. Once again a dirty little secret.

Return the favour? Exactly how is that a romantic ending? Jack still selfishly admits his feelings for Gwen and yet still wants to hang on to Ianto (second-choice) as a bedstop. How magnanimous of Jack to agree to just SLEEP with Ianto. And all that bullshit about 'not doing relationships' because I'm immortal? One nod from Gwen and he'd been into her pants, into her home before you could say '51st century' turnaround!

Wasn't sure where the story was going in the beginning... but oh so loved it as it unfolded... Absolutely lovely conversation... If only... Great Job!
