Holy crap, this scared me but I loved this at the same time, and poor Alfred, just wow.

Wow. All your stories are fantastic. I especially love how you handle fairytale and supernatural story elements. Spider-Ivan in this story was the perfect amount of calculating creepy. In one way, Alfred saved his life by saying what was supposed to be a harmless tangent, but then again, I'm not sure he'll be too happy with what's in store for him next...

"I know what it's going to do to the fly," Alfred said. "I mean, why is doing that when it already has another fly?"

This story is beautiful the way it is, but I almost wish we could have a second chapter where Alfred tries to escape...I love the concept of Spider-Ivan so much that I simply don't want this story to end.

l literally I'm no words to express the awesomeness of this fic... Not only was it well written but the plot, characterization and really, just little, thought-out details made it possible ly one of the best stories iv'e ever read–fan fiction or not! I know I'm coming off as a little strong, but i guess what I'm trying to say is, to author to reader, WOW.
If anything I just wish it was longer... Not to put any pressure for a sequel or anything! Though that would be a dream come true...
Well, i'll end this long–winded review now! Keep up the good work!

This story was really awesome and spine tingling. I liked how Ivan and Al were portrayed, especially Ivan.
And Ivan's play with his 'meal' was just...lovely.;)
But I hope that he didn't kill Al but rather kept him as his mate or something. At least I would like to think that.

Wow I'm at a loss for words... that was one of the best story's Ive read in a very, very long time. So unique and yet philosophical, and you held the suspense so very well without it becoming boring. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole last half of the story. And you made Alfred so... human.

Its so hard to express how pleased I am with this fic, so I probably sound like a blabbering imbecile as I try. But needless to say like your other works its very pleasing and enjoyable to read over and over again.

Evin though this can easily stay as a stand alone one shot I do hope it continues. Its ever so hard to find good creepily-sweet fics out there. And I do hope you take that as a compliment as that's what I intended.

Keep up the fabulous work, no matter how long it takes, art cant be rushed.

Really awesome story. I loved the way you ended it, did he eat him or not?

While The Spider and the Fly ended differanly, you really caught the spirit of the story, which, for me, means you are an amazing writer.

And though you do leave it up to the reader to decide if Ivan keept Alfred or not, I do wonder... If Ivan did keep him would Alfred be able to go to England?
