About the author's note at the end of ch 27 saying how youb like to see Lucy suffer a bit because of her arogance. I get that. After all pride goes before a fall and both in the manga and anime she had plenty of both. But I can't help but feel like dispite her arogance and even the innocent people she killed that she was always just a victim. She didn't want to be that insane killing machine. She just wanted to live and be loved and accepted. When the world made that impossible and suffering was all she knew she did the only thing she could think of to get by. And I know a bit about suffering. Suffering, betrayal, loss, pain. So in a way I empathize with Lucy ... Well aside from the whole murdering aspect. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha (maniacal laughter) lol.

About ch:23 Don't get me wrong. I'm enjoying this story but the whole "killing is wrong" thing just erks me no end . Ibhad a problem with cockroaches so i got baits and now theyre all dead. I dont take pleasure in it nor would i feel bad about it. It simply had to be done.
In a way the killing of an enemy is like that. You do what you have to to protect the ones you love. Nothing more and nothing less. If you are doing it for the right reasons the only pleasure you get from it is knowing you protected someone who would have otherwise been hurt or killed. Protecting yourselfnor someone else does not make you like the stressor in any way shapenor form. You see a threat and you eliminate it if possible. You don't become it and to say that is... well, "just plain wrong"

Kind of a Vlad the impaler kind of Guy huh. Right down to the pike. Cool story so far. Did you know that the British royal family are related to Vlad the impaler ? Yup it's true and they are proud of it too. Old donkey face prince Charles mentioned itnin an interview. You just can't make this $&# up.

The Julius perspective is pretty screwed up. I have no idea what they are done, aiming for or generally make sense of anything. If it lacks any explanation, it shouldn't be in the narration.

So far, it's truly a wonderful story, well written, with well built characters and a good story line. I think I'll enjoy reading it to the end.

I said recently your story with Kaede as the main character was the best, and while I will not renounce that statement you certainly have me hooked to move on and complete the series. And after a brief profile check I'm aware that you have ended the series "much to my disagreement even though I've only read the first part". Ill move on tomorrow.

this, was what I had been waiting to read about. The final, gut wrenching, awful struggle against Vlad. The price was almost unthinkable, but when facing such an awful darkness, there is always a price to be paid to erase that darkness. You leave yourself behind, in one way or another, to destroy it. To erase it. Though your interpretation of such a fact was more literal, it's still true. Of everyone in this world.

I was stunned speechless. Vlad is gone. But at what terrible cost?

If Kakuzawa becomes a legend, I believe he will be remembered as Cuckoo Kakuzawa.
