Very believable Alex right after she's back in the present. The ending especially seems to tie in well with what shortly happens and what Alex would be feeling.

As always, your writing is wonderfully atmospheric, and I need a cold shower after that description of Gene smoking after lovemaking. The ending is sad, unresolved, but right, because we know that if Alex had made it back to the real world, there would have been no possibility of finding him again. Lovely.

Yes the smoking in bed thing with gene I can see. Totally sexy, I would do anything for that. I hate smoking but I would let him smoke after a passionate sex session. :). Thanks for writing.
