I feel so sorry for Rachel since I suspect that she will once again get her heart broken. Can only hope that the next time, she wises up and stays home long enough to give Paul a chance. At least now she has someone who knows the situation who can talk to her when she is down and encourage her to move away from that situation. Hopefully she is almost through college and can bring her degree back to La Push and use it to make a difference.

Disappointed in Bella - more for not spending more time with Jake than in getting drunk, since that is a teenage right of passage. Hope she will soon realize what we all know so well - the awesomeness of Jacob Black.

Somehow I think that stupid Rachel will be back with her heart even further broken. I do hope that Paul gets up the guts to ask her out next time - or maybe calls or texts her while she is away. Bella had some good points about how they would be good for one another once Rachel loses her loser. Shame on Jake for not trusting totally in Bella's feelings toward him. Do hope for a speedier next chapter. I really like this story.

Prejudice and stereotyping are horrible and ugly. What Rachel’s boyfriend said about her heritage and her home was hurtful, but it was even more painful to realize that she felt guilty for leaving the reservation and worried about what Jake might be getting into because some parts of the stereotyping that hurt so bad were (sadly) true. Unfortunately, it seems like her emotional distress and distrust might have Jake questioning his relationship with Bella.

I hope you find some time to write more. This is really interesting, and I enjoy reading it.
