Tom's character is an interesting thing in itself, I agree. Your ending lines are lovely here.

Well, if you ever do get around writing the chaptered time-travel story, you can be sure I'd be one of the most excited to read it. Your writing style in this is near flawless in the subtle way you managed to have the whole environment understood. Most one shots give you an empty feeling sometimes thinking how it was and how it could be; but while I DO want to know the past and future, this one-shot has the ability to be a stand alone in its own right and it doesn't make one feel empty at all.

Ahh, I'm rambling but I think I'm getting my point across, yes? This story is wonderful and you've done a fine job.

I like your descriptive writing style and your idea sounds great, if you're still thinking of writing the fic.

I'm actually kind of surprised that I didn't review this yet, but, oh well. This is one of my favorite Tom/Harry fics, and the last three sentences absolutely break my heart because you described them so well in so little words. Amazing job!

Bloody awesome. Love the last line - I felt it really captured the story, as well as what most time travels should realise. This fic is made of epic.

I would say yes on the time travel story. I really like where you're going with this so far. It's intriguing.

Loved it. The last two lines show the depth of their characters as well as the HUGE difference between them. Tom Riddle once compares Harry and himself in the Chamber of Secrets, focusing on all of the similarities...however the last two lines of this little one-shot show the major difference that makes the similarities pale. They could very well have been friends in another life, having similar experiences and traits...I very much love their interaction here and how you have the two characters playing off of each other in the scene. You can tell they know each other and have some form of relationship (not friendship, romantic, family but that connection that links two people through various things).

You did an excellent job and I can see them being able to have a whole conversation with so few words. It would be fascinating to see how they got to this point, what brought Harry to Tom's time and how it is that Tom knows who Harry is in the first place. However this is a lovely little snap-shot of the two interacting and having a relatively "nice" conversation that shows so much of each of their personalities/characters. I would love to see this expanded into a longer fic, but it truly is your choice. I'll read it if you do and if you don't I'll just enjoy the one-shot you've posted!
