Beautiful story and development of all the characters. I think these were reasonable reactions from the King and Queen. I always wanted to know how they would react to have one of the most wanted thieves bring home and fall in love with their daughter. And the explanation behind her denial of Eugene's proposals made it more believable. I can imagine Rapunzel's inner turmoil.

Subtle, gentle, a nice break from the stereotypical "happy ending."

Perfect ending:) I love the title;it's very fitting for the whole Eugene/Flynn dilemma! This was such a cute story, with some awesome references put in! Adored the Airplane! line, aand if I'm not mistaken, is the dialogue from the dress fitting from Song of the Lioness? Great story, overall :)

I really liked seeing Eugene from the Queen's eyes. It must have felt so unreal to have her daughter returned by the very same thief that stole her crown.

I love this, and I feel this is really.. unique. I don't know why, it just feels that way. Brilliant job.

This story doesn't have nearly enough reviews. It's lovely and concise with an overall feeling of happiness and optimism. And I really appreciate that you didn't make Rapunzel and Eugene a couple immediately. While I love romance and of course we know they get married eventually, I think it's nice that THEY didn't know they would get married eventually.

wow, i really loved this story. it was so quiet and gentle and atmospheric and so many like, layers of meaning and feelings.

i LOVE seeing flynn from the queen's point of view, the idea of him as a charming rogue, and suddenly switching to a lonely boy in her eyes. i really liked the hint of underlying attraction the queen feels for him - i felt it was really appropriate and realistic, without being at all weird or over the top.

and i thought the portrayal of rapunzel/flynn's relationship was excellent, too. the way he switches back and forth between older-brother figure or a friend and finally, even at the end it's not some fairy tale romantic whirlwind of luuuuuuuve, it's just a sort of settled certainty, and partly also flynn's love for them all as a family.

i would love to see more fics exploring a possible relationship between the queen and flynn (not necessarily a full-blown romance/forbidden love thing). and the backstory explanation that the queen relates to the kind was heart-breaking :( well done!

oh oh, and also, using flynn and eugene interchangeably depending on the context was brilliant. loved it.

This is wonderful. I like reading about the Queen's or the King's thoughts. After all, they don't get any lines during the whole film. But I still think that you capture them really well. And I think the name Rachel is very good, it suits her. all in all, this is written really well. Keep it up;)
