Needles? And urine sample? A swab to the cheek should have done it. I was relieved when Edward said he had a DNA for Lily since it proved she wasn’t Tanya’s baby. Then I remembered the comment made about Edward and Emmett having the same DNA that was in the story. Since that false comment was made I realized you could still make her Emmett’s and Tanya’s biological child. Only fraternal twins have the same DNA.

I don’t understand what all the excitement is about. It’s none of anyone’s business who the father is and she can’t be made to tell. The only thing Jacob could do is claim the baby is his and Connor isn’t his, case closed. A quick swab to the cheek and that’s it. Then they can sue Jacob back for court costs and pain and suffering. End of story.
Getting many samples sounded good in the story but in real life that is not needed. You are or aren’t the father with today’s technology, no extra samples to prove it and definitely no tampering going on. A highly reputable third party place would be doing the testing with possible witnesses, there would be no tampering. Edward and Emmett would not have the same DNA. If Emette was the father than Edward would show a familiar match, it would show he was family. I’m hoping it shows Edward as the father and not Emmett.
I’m sure Bella has ALL the paperwork from Connor’s conception and birth, that is proof right there. If it was needed of course, which it is not. I’m assuming the story took this turn for there to be a reason for Edward to take a DNA test.
Weren’t Jacob and Bella in different states when she got pregnant?

Jacob’s character seems unrealistic. I can see him showing up to try and get Bella back but that is the only realistic thing that sounded reasonable. If you portrayed him as being delusional and having some mental problems than maybe some of his actions might be explained. He can’t possibly reasonably believe Bella would give her child him...? Ludicrous...

It hasn’t been mentioned that Charlie gave Jacob Bella’s cell phone number. Him doing that takes his treatment of Bella to another level. What the hell was he thinking? He has to know how jake treated her.

I’m actual scared about what is going to happen... is Lily Tanya and Emette’s baby? Edward said she looked familiar, was that because Emette dated her or because Lily looks like her?
How would that go over? Tanya will probably definitely fight for her baby. How about Emette? Edward is his brother but him and Rose can’t have kids.
Is Connor Edward’s? Emette’s? He looks like Emette. I know that’s a long shot.

There are about a dozen children in my family and they have all walked before age 1. They were definitely too big to be carried around in a car seat. By that point a car seat was in the car and they were hoisted in and out of it. Quite a few of them were talking quite a bit at 18 months. I found it hard to believe that Tanya didn’t notice that she didn’t have an 8 month old baby when she was dragging that car seat out of the daycare. An 18 month on average is almost 25 pounds.

Speaking of Tanya, I feel really bad for her. I’m wondering if she will be mentioned again.

Completely off topic but is the childcare ratio really 1 to 5 in the US? Just curious as in the England, Wales and Scotland the ratio is 1 to 3 for under 2’s; 1 to 4 for 2-3’s; 1 to 8 for 4 and 5 year olds?

Great writing but the nanny in me is super curious about other countries policies.
