Sorry, to say this, but Percy's birthday is stated in the books to be in August, not January. Also Harry was 15 months old when Voldemort attacked. I might understand if you said they searched for months whilst Poseidon spent time with Percy, and that Zeus enforced the law maybe out of spite or the jealousy that Poseidon's spending time with his son when Zeus can't.

Awww...quite cute indeed. Though the end wasn't quite as dramatic as expected. Hmm...probably ecause of the narrative. That does have a huge effect.

Ah, I think the Lightning Thief happened during the summer holiday? I only read the beginning so far, and I think it started off as Percy in school and then going home for break with a note that he wasn't to return, like an expulsion except politely timed to coincide with when everyone was already traveling. So going to Camp for the first time was less than a week after he came back from his previous school, and it's possible some campers weren't there yet because of their school's having different schedules. I haven't gotten far enough to guess at how long the adventure/quest itself took.
