Right, I'm sorry, but I'm drunk enough to say this:

I disagree with your philosophy, or at least Yugi's (in this fanfic). We can know what peace is with out knowing war, though I concede that we appreciate peace /more/ knowing what it's opposite is. But I feel that we can still appreciate the good without knowing the bad, and that the increase of appreciation of the good is not worth suffering through the bad.

Note, I follow a (vaguely) hedonistic path.
