I really enjoyed the little awkward parts of their life, like Black's friends guessing how old N was, and White's lovely waitress, and N trying to record without a DVD. It's really cute.

I really like the way you described things, but somehow - no offence of course - I found it a tad... disturbing, or maybe better yet repulsive? I'm not sure what to call the feeling, though I'm more than sure that I felt what I felt because poor Black's attitude and thoughts of N's behaviour. They were both just so small and innocent that I guess I just found it hard to not feel like:"This is so wrong, yet so right in some strange childish way!" Overall I found this little story incredibly adorable and interesting to read. I've never read the manga, so I have no idea how much of a crybaby N is there, but somehow this side of him is also sort of cute yet complicated.

Bawhahaha! Poor Black. I love, just love how everything between Black and N was sweet in a odd, awkward teenagerish way. Also Bravo for not giving us the super happy ending, I think the way you wrote speak much more truer.

Black's favourite TV show is Top Gear. I now have a new aspect of head-canon.

'It was like N had never touched another person before. Like he was only just coming to terms with the fact that he was human just like everybody else.' This line absolutely broke my heart, along with the early parts of N's portrayal when he's crying at night and generally dealing with the trauma in such a raw way. And I really loved the description of N's face as being ageless, it was pretty and very fitting with his personality.

And Black's revelation about his fascination with their differences opposite to N's own fascination. Hnngh, that was good character development.

Plus N's general awkwardness and the clumsy attempts to understand people better and oh god when he copied Black's stuttering thinking he'd like it I laughed and facepalmed.

Anyway. This is really cute and I love seeing the links with not only its sequel but your other stories. It's clever.

Wow, I'm in love with your characterizations. N and Black both come off very unique here, but you pull off this N especially, especially well. The whole child-in-an-adult thing is so well portrayed, at times the reader can definitely feel Black's perception of being a pedophile. Lol, I read the sequel to this too, though I've got the same comments for both.

Definitely will reread these sometime again. Your writing is terrific and the way you pull together different elements of a story is killer.
