Fairly new to the Walking Dead, started with a crossover then a fic here and there then watched the show (gotta love netflix). I prefer romances with oc's to between characters.
I just finished this fic and I have to say its one of my favorites. All of your oc's were well written and well rounded. Some of them were secondary and nothing but a name, but the main ones...I could just picture them in my head. The scenes, the people, the different personalities, all pretty amazing. I could 'see' the kids playing outside, or 'see' Nana taking care of Daryl when they first got there, could 'see' Daryl and Lia becoming parents too all the kids.
Just wanted to say thanks for such a great story! I will check out your others too.

It's been so long since I've logged in that I had to go through resetting my password - but I wanted to review this. I've just started reading TWD fanfic and I've been very fussy because so far, the stuff worth reading has been few and far between. In addition, I've been avoiding pieces with OCs because they seemed worse. Your story was wonderful. You captured Daryl's character - his complexity and his voice. Your plot was realistic and the care you gave to your original characters was excellent. I really appreciate the effort that went into this. I have a feeling this story is going to get me through the break between season 3 and 4! Not to mention, it might get me writing again! Thank you so much!

Quite often, finding a good place to end a story is a challenge. I just wanted to complement you on ending this story on such a lovely note. As a mom of a 5 and a 1 year old, this story touched me more than many of the others I have read. It is definitely a rather different take on the Walking Dead universe. Thank you for sharing. :)
