I think this would be a great cliffhanger ending for season 3! I liked the interplay between Beckett and Castle. They have finally solved the Joanna Beckett murder case and Beckett now needs to unwind and clear her head of all the conflicting emotions. Castle will as usual be waiting for her ALWAYS!

I like it, nice character development. I enjoy how they are not really together, but almost. This should be the legitament ending.

I like this. Although they didn't get together, it's realistic as to where the writers might take it. It's hopeful, and they admitted a small portion of their feelings for each other. I'd love to see this at the end of the season :)

OMG If that were to happen at the end of the season I would most likely strangle the person nearest to me! Its an amazing cliffhanger, which is really good, but would drive me to insanity! I could not wait until the fall! Which would make everyone watch the next season! So all in all this would be a really good season ender! Just one that might make the fans jump off a cliff.

This is something I could imagine, but I don't see Beckett trying to resign. Leave of absence or vacation to spend time with her dad? Yes I can see that. But I don't see Beckett quitting her job once her moms case is solved. While I do think she became a cop to try and get some closure through solving the murder I think she now wants to take what she knows and try to give others so closure by solving a loved ones death. Plus the premise of the show would completely change, and for the worst in my opinion.

Ahhh yeah great job! I understand how Kate would feel... Since she's gotta figure out who she is now that the case is over ya' know?

Good job. But I do think they should stretch out Joanna's death a little longer. In real life there are a lot of unsolved cases and having Joanna's case still open is a hint into the lives of those who have to live with not knowing.

But that said, the ending really fit with an episode: a season cliffhanger that we get to discuss all summer and then get resolved in the season opener. :)
