I absolutely LOVED this story!
BUT There is one thing that really does bother me, that a lot of authors do, and that is Angel's Irish lines.
'Irish' is actually *not* 'Gaelic'! hehe
And this is something solo many mistake. They call it Gaelic when Angel is in fact speaking Irish. :)
"Gaelic" refers to the major native language of *Scotland*. "Irish" refers to the native language of Ireland. :)
And until the late 1700s this was the language of Ireland. So it would have been the language that Angel (or Liam) spoke as he was born in 1727 and became a vampire in 1753, so Irish was his main language still then and was still the main language of Ireland.

To quote Alan Titley, who is an Irish-language novelist, translator, playwright and professor, and who I think got it spot on: "The Irish language should never be referred to as "Gaelic" because doing so is historically, socially, formally, and linguistically wrong." :)

These were other unexplored themes in the Buffy and Angel relationship...the gang HAD NEVER seen them spar...nor has Tara read their aura in canon...i really love your story!

Buffy's speech to Xander was something she needed to tell the rest of the world too...her mom, even the Mayor (but it's good that he's gone) and all those other gals interested in Angel...that would be the speech of a lifetime!

oh! I've always wanted someone, anyone to also notice the significance of the Claddagh ring and Angel's return! I'm glad you thought of it! Also Angel as a sketch artist wasn't explored so much on BTVS...I'm super glad u included it here!

I've always liked the Angel and Spike crazy tandem! This was perfect!

Do you realize how amazing your story is? An uber-clever back story, I should say! You even have some facts that could have been canon! I bow to your wisdom!

Buffy and Angel Together in your book

A Claddagh ring can be more than a wedding ring. Depending on which hand you're wearing it on, and which direction the heart is pointing, it can say, "I'm single", "I'm in love with someone/seeing someone", "I'm engaged", or "I'm married".

Right hand w/ heart pointing out: single

Right hand w/ heart pointing in: seeing someone/in love

Left hand w/ heart pointing out: engaged

Left hand w/ heart pointing in: married

I chose a Claddagh for my engagement/wedding ring and one for my husband's wedding ring mostly because of Buffy.

One little correction:

The phrase is: "For all intents and purposes."

Not: "For all intensive purposes."

That, along with a typo here and there, should be polished up a bit.

Kinda surprised Spike didn't say, "You have dogs?"

Ya know, I used to like Xander, but as I got older I noticed that he never really stopped "punishing" Buffy for turning him down in season 1. Sure, he was allowed to date whoever the hell he wanted, but he always had something nasty to say about Buffy's choices and always berated her for it. Then he leaves Anya at the altar and still has the audacity to judge Buffy's choices. It also ticked me off whenever Buffy's friends got upset because she didn't tell them about every single minute aspect of her personal life. So it always made me happy when they'd get their bad behavior thrown back at them in some way (usually by Spike acting as the "Cassandra" of the group, in theatrical terms).

By the way, this is like my third time reading this because I love it. It's so hard to find a well-written and interesting story that stays somewhat faithful to the source material.

I really enjoyed reading this story the last couple of days.
Good idea and really good writing.
After all this time I still love Buffy/Angel together.
Always have, always will.

And now I'm going to read the sequel :)

One of the best Angel and Buffy stories that I have read so far and I do mean that truthfully as an advid Bangel lover. It was breathtaking and heartwarming all combined with staying true to who the characters are, the description of Angel were just so beautiful that I was in tears and fell more in love with him if that's even possible. I just started to read fanfics and I have to let you know that this is one of my favorite Buffy/Angel stories! I can't wait to read the sequel! I started reading this story at 2:00am.. bad idea, because I could not stop and by the time I was done it was 6:00am! I will probably reread this again because it's that great :)

I loved the scene where she remembers the events of IWRY. It was beautifully written, and different from how other fan fic writers portrayed it.

I honestly think you've done an amazing job with the characters dialogues and lines. I can really picture them saying that stuff, especially Spike. Not many authors do that so, if I may put it in one word: Bravo.
