gillilog chapter 1 . 10/15/2015 This is a great start. I need to look up p133 now! |
Epea Pteroenta chapter 1 . 4/25/2011 Oooh really liked this! The awkwardness felt so in character and I love an ending that isn't too fluffy but is hopeful. What's on p133 of Ovid? (Is this a show reference that I have forgotten?) |
x-La vie en rose-x chapter 1 . 3/27/2011 So very honest. So very true to H/R. So beautiful. I love how you captured their perfect awareness of each other and the situation they're in. The limbo of their relationship. Spot on brilliant. So glad you shared. Thanks. :) |
the classicist chapter 1 . 3/25/2011 Lovely! So cute that she's reading Ovid and drinking the white burgundy! And I may try and work the "bitch-slap" line somewhere into Marriage of True Minds... let me have a think... |
Symphony In Blue chapter 1 . 3/25/2011 That was simply gorgeous and very much in character. The Albany ordeal which is still standing between them at the end of 9.8 needs to be resolved first before they can undertake any steps to get closer to each other. This was just beautiful xx (I'll get my thinking cap on re the 'bitch-slap' line. How brilliant would it be to put that into a fic!) |
cho123 chapter 1 . 3/25/2011 Sweet. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you. |
Euterpe chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 Wow, that was lovely. Just lovely! "Innocent - but not naive - blithe quirkiness." Great description of old Ruth. I like the references to their past: the "thing" comment, Ovid, and the white burgundy. Nice touch. I am looking forward to more evenings with Harry and Ruth. Please? |
fozzy88 chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Wonderful that Ruth was reading the book Harry had given her. |
nolongerinservice2014 chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 This was completely beautiful! Very in-character and utterly believable. And good for Harry, telling her the truth. "Please." She held out a hand to stop him from going any further. "Let's not hurry anything. Don't throw me in the deep end when I'm only learning to swim." Just perfect! :) |
oldmule chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 Really enjoyed. Very them. Subtle, slight and slow progress - very them indeed! X |
Gem6 chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 Yay! How lovely :) Gem x |
Rambling Scribe chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 I really enjoyed this and it's not in the least bit mundane or out of character. It's a lovely scene and I could picture it happening. Nice ending too, with things looking better for both them. Lovely stuff. :) xx |
BossaNovaBaby24 chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 Perfect, my kind of story to read! Subtle, meaningful and true to their relationship, a perfect story in my opinion! Very well written and I love Ruth wrestling with her keys and the learning to swim comment was fantastic! Thankyou so much for posting it, I hope to read more stories from you soon! ... and I might take up the challenge of the Wendy line... - BNB 24 |
The Emerald Ink chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 'adding for her benefit, "Yes Ruth, that includes you."' Oh that line! It was perfect Spooks humour. You know I'm all for the subtle and I loved this xx |
eggwhisker chapter 1 . 3/24/2011 This is just lovely. Really beautifully written - would it be too much to hope that you may write further such scenes? Here's hoping! |
