Dude. This story had tears coming to my eyes. I couldn't even imagine a birthday without my family. (Annoying brother included.) What I liked was the reflective, dark thing you had going. Cause when I almost cry, it means the author has some talent. (I didn't cry when Edward left Bella in New Moon when my best friends did; I laughed instead.) :D

Trust me, you weren't all over the place. It was a real good stroy. It was a nice way to end you writer's block. And I'm sorry Marshy didn't beta for you. C;

Sweet ending

The only thing i can say in the way of criticism is that you might watch the pronouns. I was a little unclear after bruce appeared just who the "he" or "his" or whatever refered to. When in doubt use proper nouns. It may be repetative but at least it won't be confusing but i do love the little short vinette. It was simple and sweet and lives up to your constant standards of awesomeness :) I'm taking a hint from your lemony fresh thing and trying my hand at M ratings...not too serious yet but any pointers you have would be very much appreciated.

That was just AHH! I loved it! You making Dick angry and transitioning it into a hug was great. I 3 hugs. (I didn't even bother trying to make a heart since the bottom always disappears anyway, but that's what the 3 is. It's a heart. And it's for you.) Also, loved how you got Dick to be Robin. That was clever. I don't think I've seen that one before. Splendid job Grimmy and I'm so happy your writer's block died down so you could write this and make my day. Go Batkid!

I love how you set this up; the green grass, the cool air. The beautiful spring day. Somehow it suits Dick, to lay out in the yard by himself just chillin'. I like it!

Not gonna lie, I about lost it when he touched the body suit he still wore under his clothes. (You and your well-written emotional scenes. I hate you! ;) That transition from "I hate Bruce and his training and his money and his LIFE" to "Well, maybe it's not so bad" to "OMG! I GET TO BE A SIDEKICK!" was perfect! I wish I could write like that.

This schmoopy Bruce was just right. It wasn't over the top- he was neither too schmoopy nor too cold. Perfect, I tell you.
