This was a great story. I really enjoyed reading it. Although it could've been either one, I had the feeling it would end up being Danny.

I had finished to read this story with John and Roy, I liked it, but I think that was Roy, wasn't he?.

Such a great story that is very well written! I'm going to say that Danny is the patient. I say this because of the following comment spoken by Doc Bergman:

"You know who is anxious to see you. He's been here the entire time, since you were brought in, pacing a path around the waiting room!"

That is so Steve like - pacing around and worrying about Danny.

Again, you did an awesome job on this story and I enjoyed it immensely.

Aw, this was sweet. Although, from the pov of a nursing student, it also made me laugh! Can't remember how many people I've asked... Are you in any pain? On a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it? lol...

This is indeed a wonderfully written piece. I love it! Very accurate details. Glad you posted and shared your experiences through the eyes of our favorite characters.

I'd have to say it's Danny who's the patient here. Reasons: You chose his name as the first primary character for your story then Steve's. Also the way he was acting and speaking, very Danny-like.

Steve plays a good worry-wart and you wrote that in perfectly and accordingly! Having said all that I may be biased as I love Danny a tad more than Steve. It were the other way round, I may very well be imagining him lying in that bed. There's no right or wrong answer which makes this story a perfect for both Steve and Danny fans!

Wonderful imagery. Wonderful example of the bond of partners/brothers/friends.

I figured whoever wrote this was either a nurse or recent RR patient. Been there and done both scenerios. This had one of the most realistic medical feels I've read in a long time. Nice story.

As for who was who...hard to tell. Danno's the patient, I think, because I think a sleepy Danno would have been trying to comfort a worried Steve.

Your descriptions in this story are riveting. (I wonder if that in part is due to your first hand experience? Glad you're okay!) I can imagine all the details you cover. Accurate portrayals of the characters- Doc shaking Danny, Steve anxious, Danny retaining his sense of humor. A very enjoyable short story, very well done. Thanks.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, especially working in a hospital and caring for patient's who have just come out of surgery. Your descriptions were excellent.

And the patient must be Danny. Steve is the only man I know who can irritate Dr Bergman to that level!

Good story, you did a good job conveying what it's like to wake up in the recovery room. (Not sure why Bergman would be the doctor here, though.)

My guess is that the patient is Steve, Danny's the one who's always pacing.

i'm sure it's a hurt danny because steve will never say he is hurt or feeling pain...

although i would prefer a hurt steve- it's was nice way of writuing so i could emagin it is a hurt steve.

as for your experience- it went through the same- i could hear everything but couldn't keep my eys open for almost three hours hahah they kept trying to make me wake up with no much success...
