Oh my gosh I love this so so much.

This was pretty good. Recently, I started liking the Hakoda/Zuko fatherly relationship theme in stories, so I enjoyed this. I have to say, Zuko seemed OOC with how openly emotional he was and how easily he admitted what was bothering him. In canon he was a lot less open with his feelings and slower to trust (the exception being Iroh, but that's understandable), even after switching sides. But otherwise, I still liked the story. I'm a big fan of angst.

Why din't they just straight up make Ursa marry Hakoda? Those two would've been perfect and Hakoda would've been a great Dad to both Zuko (as in your story) and Azula (surprisingly, I can see them laughing over one of her dark jokes like old buddies).

This is so sweet. I feel like Sokka would be like this too if he found out Zuko was having nightmares, only it would be his "big brother" instincts, not daddy instincts.

Great story! I really like the whole Hakoda/Zuko, father/son type thing! It would have been awesome if they included something like this in the actual tv show...
