Cute story! I really enjoyed it! I liked the characters-they felt real and true. Of course they would run into the mess and try to save the women and children. I LOVED how they held hands to comfort each-other and didn't stop holding them.

I'm with Quinlan. Those guys are about as pro-life as the idiots that went around shooting up Planned Parenthood clinics and abortion doctors a few years ago. Pro-life means pro-life - not take a life. Not let's see how we can mess up these lives by using smoke to make them sick.

As for Cody fretting about Nick - the three of them wouldn't be happy if they couldn't fret when one was hurt or missing. That's their nature.

Love your description of Nick's injuries - old and current. I have a friend who's oldest son is in the army. While trying to qualify for airborne he injured his ankle. Rather than get it looked at he shrugged it off, ignored the pain (and his sister, the physical therapist's comments) and jumped again. Result? Broken ankle, torn ligaments, surgery, pins, plates etc. etc. Now on crutches. Won't be walking on it without for quite a while! Dummy!
