I love how realistic this story feels and how much I can relate to this chapter. I have a friend who always got annoyed at me for walking on the outside too and it ticked him off when I dismiss his gentleman's code. He is very much an idealist while I'm a realist. It's difficult not to lash out at him when his ideals are so different, since the decision he makes seem so unreasonable. Even so, I have nothing but tremendous respect for his beliefs and I think Touko would feel the same for N. I think it would take some hardship for them to slowly accept each other more.

That being said, based on personal experience, it's very much true that opposites attract ;)

I think third person is best if you are going to have some kind of focus on Bel and Cheren. Ultimately it is up to you on how you want to write but I think the different persons shows how different N and Touko's lives are.
