I read this story in a few days, and I'm deeply enjoying this. Such a unique AU. Chris is slowly learning that fame and recognition isn't everything, so long as he has a family to return to.

Without even appearing, Robotnik is already a terrifying villain. So many people and Mobians affected by what he did, and he isn't present for most of it.

Not really sure where this Vanilla/Chris subplot is going, but will still be interested regardless.

Not sure if it's St. John the traitor, looks like the obvious choice, but more importantly, that last bit he had with Chris showed that the two could bond...as difficult as it's.

And I'm glad that the reasoned it was a traitor than blaming Chris, because I thought that's were it was headed.

Looking forward to more of this.

Oh Dear I didn't think Mr. I hate humans mobian would go so far as attempt to get Chris killed but he/she mess up very badly in with endangering Tails,Amy and Antoine lives with Sonic getting pretty pissed off with Tails life being put onto the line and the same with Bunnie when it comes to Antoine.

Whoever is doing this will be running out of places to hide if he keeps doing activities that are suspicious and could get caught in the act, meet another mobian at the wrong place at the wrong time and force to do something or run away and meet the fastest thing alive or worse case be competent which I seriously doubt at this point.

Or ridiculously get public support secretly which will work up until the point Sonic informs Knothole of the traitor which will doom him/her.

Hm, I wonder who the traitor could be..

Either way, a solid chapter and I'm looking forward to down time with Chris and friends. I got a feeling when/if Chris and Vanilla get together there is going to be someone salty that had their eyes on Vanilla. Dunno why, but wouldn't be surprised.

But really hope you plan chris become far stronger ans skilled soon and even awake some special power. Don't want to have him being the same burden mainly useless character during battle as his anime self

Well, that was interesting. And hopefully nobody thinks about blabbing the whole traitor thing.
And from what I can tell Chris is not being a Mary-Sue like what some idiots have said. He's just being a soldier. A soldier that was trained and had fought since he was a child. And as every single soldier has experienced, my father being no different, war is hell.

I'm just going to say that was Geoffrey St. John who sneaked and planted that transmitter.
Because of his hatred for Chris' appearance alone, it was enough to motivate the skunk to do that.

However, I'm also aware that there are still no evidences to back up that accusation. As well as the fact that he isn't the only one who wants Chris gone, if not dead.

But if it wasn't Geoffrey, then I have no idea of who it was.

Seeing this updated was definitely a much better surprise then the reveal of the Sonic movie trailer. However I will say that Jim Carrey actually makes a great Doctor Robotnik. So I'm considering going to see it just for that.

Anyway, good to see Chris made it back to Knothole in one piece despite another attempt on his life. That conversation Chris had with St. John about Sonic always getting the glory was interesting. Assuming St. John isn't the traitor. I think he and Chris might (heavy emphasis on might) be able to build a friendship from their mutual dislike of Sonic.

This is the worst written story I have ever seen.

You have turned Chris Thorndyke into a Mary sue in every sense of the word. And it is annoying to watch.

First off really. Chris has superhuman strength. In canon for all Sonic Universes. Whether Archie , SatAm or the games. Humans were never stronger than Mobians. The mobians were always shown to be physically stronger.

Humans were reknown for their advances in technology and politics.

Now onto more of Chris's Mary sue traits.

Cream and Chris so called relationship is completely contrived and forced.

One so the robots kidnapped Vanilla but apparently didn't take Cream. Which makes no sense.

Two so Cream saw mobians several times and talked with them. But the excuse used is that she didn't want to leave the village until the Mary sue Chris came.

The adults would have saw a child by herself and taken her anyway. If Cream was close enough to hear their conversation. The mobians would have noticed her. Cream would have been taken to Knotholes ages ago.

Three how did Chris find her but no one did. Bad writing.

Four they knew each other for only a couple of days. Chris acts like a maniac and yells at her. Cream should have left at this. But through poor writing instantly forgets and apparently they forge a strong bond.

Lupe randomly gets emotional over his crappy back story.

He wins all his important fights automatically because he is an OC. Should Drago be physically stronger since he is combat specialist, manages to take on strong fighters like Sonic and had the element of surprise.

But no Chris is an OC so he automatically wins.

Everyone automatically loves the OC Chris even though he acts like an edgy asshole. Chris easily intimidates all the mobians because he is an edgy OC even Sonic and Lupe. Because he is an Mary sue.

Vanilla randomly falls in love with the edgy OC.

Sally and Sonic bend over take abuse and yelling from the OC. They just stutter & apologize like wimps instead of realistically getting angry because of the poor writing.

Everyone automatically trusts the Edgy OC because he is a Mary sue. They even let him attack and yell at them instead of doing anything about it like kicking him out of the village or taking him down a peg.

All of the main characters act massively out of character cause the OC needs to be main center of attention that everyone is thinking about.

Shadow once stayed in Knothole. He had a sad past experience was grumpy with an angry temperament. He also didn't like Sonic. But because Sonic was in character. When Shadow got angry at him or got out of line. He got angry right back at Shadow or mocked him for being grumpy.

Same with Sally. Who funnily enough has no problem telling Geoffrey to shut up and punishing him for rude behaviour. Despite Geoffrey having a valid reason and losing his parents to human killers. But when your OC Chris is acting like an asshole to her. Sally just agrees and whimpers like a bitch. Its pathetic.

Sally who is usually an independent tomboy who doesn't take any crap. The one gets everyone to stop fighting. She is acting like a cowardly damsel because the OC. It makes no sense.

This is why OC stories are hated because the OCs tend of be Mary sues.

Even the original Chris Thorndyke from Sonic X was more relatable and sympathetic. Because he acted like an actual person and everyone didn't automatically love him out of nowhere. Chris was also called out for his crap when he acted aggressive.

Your version of Chris treats everyone like shit and gets away with it cause he is an OC.

Hope Robotnik is a 1000x more sympathetic and relatable because she is a realistic character with understandable emotions. She actually has character development. Something your OC doesn't have but pretends to.

She lived up in harsh environment where she was taught all mobians were bad. But she had her doubts and tried to talk to the mobians to decide for herself.

Robotnik tricked the humans into following him into his fortress. Due to the humans' fear of mobians. They fell for it. But Hope still doubted it. Robotnik roboticized the humans. But Hope managed to get away due to Sonic.

She eventually learned to live the mobians in peace after living in their society. She reunited with Shadow where she got over her past trauma.
