Logical, everybody in character, and very sensible. It is high time House got out of the toxic environment of PPTH and so-called friends who treat him like a recalcitrant child. I'd love to see more from you in this fandom.

Hey. Love the story idea. It's nice to see how the others low opinion affects House when it comes to his relapse. Personally I agree, ad think that PPTH is not the best place for House to recover.

This is excellent (and welcome to House fic authordom, btw). This is what I wish we'd gotten instead of oodles of hookers, drugs and other gimmickry that substitutes for decent writing.

The characters voices all sound IC to me here; Wilson in full lecture/blame/angry enabler mode, Cuddy self-absorbed and ever the admin, the team seeing everything through their own filters and current experience. I liked having Chase be the one who gets through to House, along with Nolan.

Leaving PPTH and Princeton would probably be the best thing House ever did for himself. (I say that within the context of this one-shot, setting aside the knowledge of the season finale's ending.) House needs Nolan, he needs an outside perspective he can trust or at least listen to without wincing; he needs to see that while he's struggled and failed, he's also struggled and succeeded.

Great fic. I hope you'll continue to write in this fandom, good work is sorely needed right now given the outright idiocy of the canon creative team's approach.

Wow - I just found this through a rec on an LJ comm, and I have to say it's impressive, both technically and in terms of substance. Really, it would have been so awesome if the script had gone this way. House was so desperately disappointed in the failure of his relationship with Cuddy, and he needed to talk to someone who really understood how far out on a limb he'd gone emotionally for her. I really wish they'd been able to bring back Nolan (don't know if they even thought about it, and if they did, it probably wasn't possible because Andre Braugher is doing his own series). But in real life, this would have been the answer. On the other hand, "House" is, thankfully, not real life!

Lovely - I really enjoy alternate takes on episode endings and having House call Nolan is a great one. I've felt lately that leaving PPTH might just be the best thing for House right now - even if it's temporary - allowing him to truly get a fresh start. Often the people he is surrounded by aren't any better than him, much as they'd like to think they are!

Poor House so misunderstood by everyone! Ha Ha, get over yourself House you don't deserve Cuddy (you ducked out as soon as the going got tough, you mouth off at Wilson because he had the cheek to actually care (its what people do) and guess what non of it is down to you, Hm wounder who could be the problem here? Well written very in character for House. A bit harsh on Wilson perhaps.

This is a good story will u continue I am curious to see how this goes. My only negative comment is how cold you made Wilson. He is House is Wilsons best friend he would be more empathetic especially considering his own relationshipe record. I do agree that his progress was over looked. I am curious to see what happens and where house goes.
