I forgot to mention, but you have no clue how the obliviation spell is supposed to work. All it does it erase memories. It doesn't plant new ones the way you portrayed with Harry just telling Teddy what he would remember like that. Harry would have to be a serious legilimens to be able to create false memories in someone's mind. You need to do more research. It's also so annoying that you didn't have Harry merge into his younger self's body. 2 Harrys just annoys me. It's also not even touched upon what sort of magic would allow something like that to even happen. Popular theory suggests that physical matter couldn't be sent back, probably only a soul could. There's no depth to your story at all. Just another cliche.

A few things. First, how is Teddy Lupin still alive? He's only a little less than 18 years younger than Harry. If everyone thinks Harry should have died years ago, why wouldn't they think the same about Teddy? Next, what the hell is with the entire bullshit in the Ministry of Magic between Harry and Minister Pinter? That was such a stupid waste of time to read. You should have just had Harry go back in time at Stonehenge without the ridiculous spectacle in the courtroom. Utterly pointless when it comes to your plot. It literally added nothing to it but an attempt to seem dramatic that only comes off as stupid. Third, the minister yelling "guards" is so dumb. He would yell for the aurors, not guards. This isn't medieval times, honestly.

That thing about "wizards being more evolved" is ethnocentric bullshit.

The last two chapters (hat discussion, escape from Azkaban and Peter's interview) were a good bit of storytelling.

I always think a bit about abandoned stories - what's left to write on a minimal basis vs. what the original intent was and the like. I also look at the strength of the original story concept - was it a clever idea to begin with? Finally, I frequently attempt to search for a reason within the story itself that may have caused the storyteller to pause their progress. Often you can either envision a decision point coming up that may have caused the storyteller to stop. Occasionally it is evident that the storyteller painted themselves into a corner with respect to the plot.

In your case, with this tale, the original concept is a good one. A second body is rarely done. Having the goblins create an opening for Professor Harry via the transfer letter was acceptable though convincing the Runes or Arithmancy instructor to leave might have been better than placing a headmaster in role where they'd have to repeat first year charms.

I did enjoy the discussion with the hat. That provided you a means of ending the tale in another two or possibly three chapters if you wanted to. Minimally Professor Harry (Doc) just needs to destroy the horcruxes and Quirrell can burn himself to a crisp. He should be able to remove Harry's easy enough.

Before Doc does that (as it would apparently end him) he should find some irrefutable means of getting rid of the other DEs. That would be easily accomplished by you editing Peter's deposition to add the line, you can't be forced or coerced to take the Mark.

As for the Twelve/Thirteen families subplot (there was a bit of both mentioned), that's a theme that I'd drop. You don't need it. Regarding editing/reposting chapters, there's no reason not to. It's been seven years. No one is going to recall the little details. You could finish it in a month if you wanted to.

If you chose, you could carry the story ahead and have a Riddle/DE free tale to work with for as long as you chose, or wrap it up in about fifty pages.

Give it some thought.
