KatDusk chapter 1 . 7/20/2018 For the message at the bottom, I'm French-Canadian and I complain when I get French Homework, or homework in general. |
Anon chapter 1 . 10/30/2011 Great story :) I really like the accuracy of relations with France in this. Personally I agree with the idea of continuing to learn French and it being an important part of Canadian identity. I really suck at French immersion but I continue on studying it because it's one of the unique things of this country. Even though it became a British colony the origins should be appreciated and incorporated into the modern identity. On another note the French grammar needs a bit of looking over but it was still a great idea to use it. Keep trying. Bonne chance! |
SafetyScissors chapter 1 . 10/27/2011 I loved this! Thank you so much for writing it. |
fangirl2020 chapter 1 . 7/15/2011 I don't know french, so I don't really care about the translations as long as they help the plot. love the story though. |
The Animanga Girl chapter 1 . 4/2/2011 very sad... |
Lifethefrigg chapter 1 . 3/30/2011 I got a 53 in french. I don't feel I need to contiune. Great story anyway.I rather like speaking english before french. English is harder to learn. |
Keki chapter 1 . 3/9/2011 D; This made me super sad, but it is actually more accurate than a lot of France/Canada fics I've read lately. Canada is often thought of with French influence more than English, but it is actually the way around in reality... well, that's what my Canadian friend told me... *not Canadian* Your French could use some work, but you will get better soon, je promets~ |
KitakLaw chapter 1 . 3/9/2011 Interesting take on things with the Treaty of Paris and its implications for Canada. I do agree with you that the French language and culture might be more prominent today if it weren't for the Seven Years' War, but I'm also glad that we have what we do have due to things like the later Quebec Act and the actions of Canada's first couple of British governors. |
