I see I never sent you a review on this chapter, so better late than never.

These early chapters of Dinah's and Sev's relationship are so heart wrenching. Poor Sev battles with himself about opening up and sharing things, but the worst part was that he thinks Dinah will eventually tire of him. Thank goodness we know that will never happen. :)

I hope you write more chapters in this parallel story. Sev (as we know) is such an interesting character and I can't get enough of him. So I'm looking forward to an update.

Oh, come on! Don't stop here. I love these insights from Sev's point of view. There is so much more you can write about this. Actually, I think it would have been fun to have placed this in the original story somehow. But, let me say, your Snape 'rationalizations' are right on. Keep it coming.

Hmm. He goes from "Professor Samson" to "Dinah Samson" only a couple paragraphs down. Then, he uses Lucy's first and last name as well while the other teachers have only their last name mentioned. Is this subtle difference a sign to readers who have not read Serpant's Kiss to things to come? Or, is it that you are so used to their first names?
