Not a big Rick/Shane fan, but I'm open to it, and this was just a beautifully written piece!

Best story for rick/Shane. Other stories they always want each other that really doesn't seem like an actual scenario. This seems like it could be an actual episode on the show.

Great story. You capture perfectly Shane's anger, Rick's remorse, and the craziness that this new world creates. I really like the twist on Shane and Rick's "relationship," that this is a way for Shane to hold power over Rick. While I normally think that Shane, power hungry as he is, would want to top in any relationship, it makes sense that in this case, he starts the act but lets Rick take control. That way, Rick can't deny that he's as much to blame for what happened between the two of them as Shane is.

This was amazing. Heartbreaking, but beautifully written.

I never read the comics and so far Shane and Rick have been one of my OTPs. I love the tone of voice through this; you have the Southern drawl down perfectly and kljasfdkljsaklfjk SHANE! SHANE IS PERFECT! And so is Rick for that matter! It's always a competition between the two now and you really got that and ajdfkljasldkfj.
