I thought the whole thing with Miyuki was weird and uncomfortable in the manga/anime, so I'm glad that fight was mostly glossed over...because it was pretty strange to me. Shizuru and Hiei are such an unlikely pair and we don't see them together too much, if at all, so their dynamic is really interesting to see :)

I'm really interested in this being Yusuke/Hiei because I haven't really read a well written one, and this is incredibly in line with their personalities, so great job.
Poor Shizuru and Hiei! Hope they get free by the time the gang finds them!

Hiei's having a tough time, but at least the gang is thinking of him, right? You never realize how weak the Four Saint Beasts are until you compare them to literally every other person the YYH gang fights and then wow are they weak

Poor Kurama, locked up in Spirit World for two months, but at least his mom didn't have to worry about him disappearing...I wonder if that extended to the school, though, because a star student disappearing for two months would've been concerning.

Hiei being open with Yusuke about being Yukina's brother is a nice change
'single most doting brother' is not a phrase you'd expect to be attached to Hiei, but is it any less true? I think NOT

okay...was Hiei scowling when thinking about Genkai telling Toguro to kill someone Yusuke cared about...because he was jealous it wasn't him? It almost seems like it, but I'm not sure
Hiei's concern for Yusuke when he's walking back warms my heart :)

I feel Hiei's disdain for Spirit World "Why's she here?" and even though I like Botan, I love Yusuke and Hiei's sass towards everything Spirit World related
Hiei realizing he was smiling about Kuwabara's Spirit World was a nice touch

I wonder if maybe Koenma would know what's on the bracelet since he's so much older than Genkai? Though I doubt Hiei would ever lower himself to asking Koenma for help.
Hiei seemed to almost backhand compliment Kuwabara which was a nice change, wondering why he'd want to give up something he's clearly gifted in, even before he's developed the Spirit Sword

I missed reviewing this chapter! Hiei jumping in at the last second is great, especially when he didn't know how it went down the first time, but the line that killed me was: He wouldn't be alone again, not after finding them for the second time...why must you break me like this?

I do really love Yusuke and Hiei's relationship in this. They had a few good moments in the manga/anime but I really liked how pleased Hiei seemed to be when Yusuke was like 'well, he'll just have to get used to you bc we're buddies now' lol

Hiei's gonna beat the shit out of Yusuke and call it training and I'm gonna love every minute of it :)
Hiei being worried about dealing with possible vengeance from Kurama reminded me of when he said he allied himself with Kurama to avoid fighting him himself, which I can definitely appreciate :)
