Why am I so glad whenever Stoick dies in a fanfiction? He represents everything trashy and narcissistic about abusive parents. I didn’t give a shit when he died in HTTYD 2. I feel like he only ever made up with his son was when it was way too late and when Hiccup lost his fucking leg. The entire village of Berk deserves Hiccup a heartfelt apology. Christ, I think Hiccup should’ve just left but this is just a story.

Yeah, I’m looking too deep into it.

As good a story as this is there is no way Astrid should be forgiven. She along with the tribe that tormented him did nothing to help. Toothless and him forged a bond you would expect for Hiccup to confined in him not some girl that humiliated him

I like the writing and the plot but I feel that you've used foreshadowing a bit too much, other than that it's well written.
