What the heck? Why are they sleeping in the same bed? He sorta came off as a confused Ron in a slash couple with Harry.

This is a very interesting story :) I like it- it's very well-written, and emotional in a way that doesn't give you a headache, if that makes sense; it's like you're just watching it all happen. Nice job :)

A really interesting story, and I think it worked well. It did have that sense of utter intimacy between two people, but you made it so based on friendship, not gender, that it was quite moving, and not gay (where it could easily have gone with a lesser writer).

So are Harry and Ron lovers in this story? It seems like they've been intimate with each other. I mean, Harry can provide a trigger without them being shirtless in bed, can't he?

Anyway, this was extremely well-written, just like all of your stories, but this one seemed to venture way too close to slash and trio-love, which I HATE, lol! So it wasn't really my cup of tea. Oh well. Keep writing, though!

Harry looked at me with big green eyes. Had they gotten larger somehow since... before?

There was this feeling of eventually. I've sometimes thought maybe it was simply starvation.

"You're safe with me," he said.

"Oh yeah?" I teased. "A bit sure of yourself."

"No."

He was right, of course. He was never alone. He was protected. And I was part of that 'him'. "

- Right off the bat, I'm trying not to cry! *hugs them both*

"I shivered again and he pinched me.

"Thanks," I said, clutching the sheet to my chest. A routine of awakening when I'd subconsciously plan a nightmare."

- ...more tears...

"I'm taking you home," he said finally, and my lips parted as I tried to understand.

"What are you on about?" I asked through the new reverberation of anticipation inside my ears, my lips suddenly dry, heart in my throat.

"I told you, she misses you."

- d'awwwwwwww *hugs Harry to death*

Things I love about this:

It's beautiful, emotional, and perfectly vague in the way that emotion so often is.

The lasting trauma from, well, everything they've lived through - the way you made it such an unflinching truth, something they have to deal with moment-by-moment.

The way they lean on each other, helping one another get through those moments without having to be asked.

Finally - the fact that they need Hermione to feel complete, that it's just that much harder for them to get through it without her.

I especially loved your Harry in this - earnest and serious and taking care of everything and so very canon!

Now go write more fic!

Usually love your stories, but not sure about this one. If I hadn't seen the "Ron/Hermione" in the description I would of thought it was a Harry/Ron love story:( I like a lot about the story, but there does seem to be a lot left out. Keep writing, still waiting for updates on your other stories.

In a way that kind of made me sad for Ron-the anxiety of everything-not being w. Hermione, his true love, wondering if he would make it home safe... tbh I sometimes did wonder about Ron and Harry's friendship after everything in Deathly Hallows-not saying they are not brothers/best mates anymore but just saying even though Ron knows Hermione loves her ginger man more than life, did Ron sometimes feel guilty over what happened ya know? Anyway.. your avid reader here says get back to work on unfinished FF ;) Kidding...this one shot was awesome! I love Ron to no end and even more Hermione/Ron together :)
