Hmm, I don't know. Personally, I feel that this would somehow have led to Ethan instead of Red. Sure it did seem that Red was the logical choice, but heh, Ethan seems to stick just fine.

Lyra's mum does okay a huge part in all this, no?

The worst sure is happening to her, huh. But the sense of betrayal is strong, so you can't really blame her actions.

She really looks up to Red here, doesn't she? The next part would've crushed her, or not, depending on how she chooses to see things. 1) Red has a voice, but understands what it means to not want to use it, the feeling of silence. 2) She absolutely explodes at him and Red somehow calms her down?

And her world kinda crashes, huh.

She owes Silver a lot, that is easy to say. And her Cyndaquil too, I believe, for being her first Pokemon and actually understanding her.

I think it's all about letting Lyra's mum know that she wants to feel more independent. I mean, her mum does sound quite controlling. I do hope Red gives her good advice on this one.

I think you captured the feeling of a nine year old perfectly. Still young, still wanting everything in the world, still innocent. Yeah, you did great. :)

Oooh, I've read something similar, about Red being mute (but not really..?). The story was called Speak Up, if I recall correctly.

Oh, Lyra can't speak because none of the main Pokemon game characters can...I'm a bit slow.
Anyway, great story!

I loved the whole story from the very beginning right up till the very end. I know i was probay hoping for to much when i thought that she was going to find her voice and speak, but i wasn't let down. The ending was more beautiful than her finding her voice and like i said before i love it! Ethan and her are so cute together and its even more beautiful that he stood up for her and that he was her voice. :3 Great job with each chapter and the story overall!
