I love this . . . I totally remember the comment on the odyssey. There's been a few times where he lets on that he's a lot deeper than he allows people to perceive.

I'm definitely giggling. I too, am totally in love with Dean. I love Sam too, but Dean has a special place in my heart.

I like what this says about Dean. Most of us are quick to assume he's either drinking, trying to get laid, eating, or masturbating when Sam's not around.

Dean also likes to remind people that he has no highschool diploma.

Maybe you should write a fic about the things he did at school. I think he had a lot of athletic potential. Although he would never have signed up for any teams. His main priority has always been taking care of Sam first.

After hearing from you I thought I'd read a story or two of yours. I really enjoyed this, I love " intelligent, competent Dean" fics (also competent Sam ones!). I think you caught Dean very well here.

I loved this! It was just what I needed for my day. I HATE when people write Dean as dumb! I love smart Dean stories, an I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees him in that light. You did a wonderful job, this felt very in character. Way to go!

Just amazing. Dean isn't stupid, he's kinda a genius! I mean, he's not Einstein or a nerd just like Sammy, but still... Dean's the best, man.

And, yeah, WHY do you end all your fics with Dean going to sleep? It's like a pattern, maybe Dean going to sleep is the best way to end a conversation without a hug or something.

I really like your take on Dean' intelligence here. I think people see Dean's oh so pretty face and think he has to be the stupid one. Of course Dean's self image doesn't help. He sees himself as the dumb one of the Winchesters and his family only helps that right along. I've always thought he was smart from the beginning. I mean, he built an EMF recorder from an old Walkman! And of course, Sammy insulted it and made Dean to feel less than he is. So, I'm not surprised Dean's read a few good books. I notice when he told Sam about them he made it sound like he was still not very smart. Anyhow... Thanks for the great one shot, I thought it hit Dean's smarts right on!
