it was a little bit disappointing at the end, coz I'm searching for a story where Wolfram fall in love with someone else and show how happy he is. Because watching the anime, I felt like Wolfram was not appreciated in their lives, like the name Selfish Loafer, and Yuuri does not acknowledge their engagement (not acknowledging is okay, but retorting in every situations about their engagement are not meant to, just rub me wrong. And his family too.) Anyhow, good job!

...Ok. I the ending is pretty much set in stone.

I do like that Wolfram confessed that he was miserable and that Yuri naive actions was making his unrequited feelings and engagement as a whole that much worse. That was all nice.

Now, the not so nice.

This story started off really slow but steady, and had a really mature take on the over used Yuri x Wolfram trope (Wolfram gets a new suitor that pushed Yuri into realizing he has feelings for Wolfram). Unfortunately I did noticed a few things that kept this story from completely being pushed over that boundary of maturity.

Yuri. Again, he started off really nicely written, but as he started to realize hi feelings for Wolfram the more selfish and just UTTERLY childish he became. I literally started replacing teenage Yuri with crossdressing toddler Yuri in my head. The situation is made even worse because everything has been so well explained up into the point Yuri started feeling the lust (And honestly, that is ALL I am seeing it as). He really 'wants" Wolfram now. And Wolfram (who had a pretty solid set of will and determination in the beginning to see things through) just goes with it. He just goes along with EVERYTHING Yuri does. He protest for a second then just gives in. I can't help but now wonder what was even the point of even coming up with a plan to get away if he just crumbles so easily after so long. He is back to square one.

And while Wolfram was shoving his pain and sorrow out for everyone to see, Yuri still on cares about possessing Wolfram...like a toy. Yuri basically says "I hurt you for two years straight? Sorry, my bad bro. Lets fuck and just pretend those two years didn't push you to breaking! That okay with you, bro? Psh, who cares what you think! I know you are going to give in because you're just that weak!"

It really comes down to how Yuri was written as he supposedly fell in love with Wolfram. Everything happened in such perfect chronicle order (Threat in new love interest, cue loneliness, jealousy, lust...and that is it) it all felt flat, one dimensional. Yuri was very passionate...but not in a good way at all.

Wolfram greatest fear is being accepted in the moment and being tossed away in the future (a serious possibility). You know what would have brought him some reassurance instead of an arrange marriage, proper courting (that could still be the result of feelings in that moment)? Complete absence from Yuri. For maybe a solid year, with no contact of any kind between the two. Because this chapter just made the relationship very passionate but very dangerous. Yuri is already thinking with his cock, and Wolfram is so weak that he lets himself be used as Yuri pleases. Everyone around them is more then happy to sit back and watch with a few minor reassurance that it will all work out.

I just want to slap them both and put them in a box. Hah. Box.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!I wanted Wolfram and Lieven together

I know some people said that they didn't like it, but chapter 23 was honestly my favorite. When Wolfram started his ''our engagement ruined me'' speech, I was so close to crying because I loved that he actually let Yuuri know. I've always hated how Wolfram was treated in the anime - with the engagement being nothing more than comic relief even though he obviously took it very seriously. Yuuri's rather insensitive responses weren't helping either. I get that Wolfram's possessiveness and boldness can be annoying, and I think that there's nothing wrong with Yuuri being straight. Just that Yuuri should've respected Wolf's feelings and just ended the engagement if he really has no intention of marrying him in the first place.
Haha, anyways, I think this was a rather mature take on their situation. As the other reviewers said, Lieven's a very likable character. It's great that you didn't make him out to be an abusive asshole just to make Yuuri look good. We already have too much of that in these types of fics. The fact that they were childhood friends just made him even more lovable as a love rival OC. The whole childhood-best friends-into-lovers is a very cute concept but is sadly underrated in my opinion.
Also, I also loved how you explored Yuuri's developing feelings and naivety. He's still a young Japanese kid after all, so his reluctance/denial to acknowledge his attraction to another guy is quite understandable. Lastly, I am just so GLAD that you included Greta and Wolf's father-daughter relationship here. Their interactions were absolutely adorable, with her acting like her dad sometimes and just learning to be a little shit.

As much as I love yuuri's naivety, lieven is just more matured. Somehow, I prefer lieven/wolfram, they would really look good together; this is very rare that I even approved.

Lieven was the most likable OC I have ever had the pleasure to read of in a fanfic. ESPECIALLY KKM fanfiction.

It's been a year since I reviewed this story. Just reposting so you know - not only do I still love it, I think it's gotten BETTER, either because of the new details I keep seeing, or because I now just associate it with summer. Someone should give you a budget and a team and make this into a part of the canon.
