I like how Nellie is a bit of a past reader. Why be a cannibalistic baker when you can be a past reader?

Mrs. Lovett/Judge Turpin is an interesting pairing, to say the least. But I think it really works here, no matter that - or maybe /because/ - it's (imo) pretty screwed up :P

Wow. You always have such insightful stories...a real grasp on the characters. They feel like Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett and such, instead of well-written fan versions. This is no exception.

I love the title; it reminds me of Edward Albee's one act Zoo Story, and makes me wonder if you meant it to. Mrs. Lovett is very Jerry-like in some ways, the hedonism she has, and the frustrations they both feel are evident here.

Mrs. Lovett, however delusional she is about one or two aspects of her life, is very good at reading people. There's a quiet despair here that simply shines.

At the end I walked away with a better understanding of both characters, and that's to be commended.

It was really interesting, and I like how you don't mention names but drop obvious clues to who they are. I also like how it's first person from Nellie's pov. :P I love how the whole sleeping-with-Turpin thing is to make Sweeney jealous.

And haha, Nellie/Turpin gives you the willies. Personally I think that it can be really interesting if written well enough and a decent plot (and maybe one-sidedness from either side) but yeah, it is pretty eurgh.
