This story is awesome and cool

Wow! This is liturally the best Katherine/Damon story I have ever read! You put in every one of Damon's emotions correctly, and some of Katherine's too! Great job! I think this is the best thing I have read in my life! Please, be sure to make more of Damon/Katherine - I completely adore the couple, they are just perfect together!

So i just did a quick search for M rated 1864 stories and found this one. I hate damon/kat pairing in present day... like really hate it, but i can deal with reading them as the vintage edition. This is super, super hot, good job :)

I love this story! Sad to see it go...but... The ending was perfect. I can definitely see how Damon would be corrupted after this and I would like to think that this is what happened. She definitely broke him :) Thanks for sharing this with us :)

I love 1864-Damon and Katherine :) Oh, and I read the other reviews, and someone posted this for a Damon/Elena/Katherine fic, "ELENA/DAMON/KATHERINE love story triangle; the three pursue Klaus and Elena finds herself torn when Damon and Katherine grow closer." I'd really love it if you decided to write this, cause it seems like an awesome idea!

I really love this chapter but it just made me sad at the end knowing that Katherine will never love Damon back. I really love this two pairings they really match.

I have this suggestion on having a Katherine/Damon AU love story of 1864 did happen just like in the canon but the twist is Katherine is a changed vampire and is looking for redemption and taking responsibility, but what Katherine doesn't know her only redemption is being in love with the Damon who spend the last 145 years loving only her, and takes place in the present day where Katherine comes back in Mystic Falls in season 2. I really would love to have a redeeming Katherine who is the Katherine we know in the canon but change into a good girl in the present day. It's just like in the TV show gossip girl Serena who later changes into a good girl taking responsibilities. It would be good to have this a long one shot story and Damon/Katherine have their happy ending just as Damon deserves to be happy. The reason why I would like to have a Damon/Katherine is because there are not a lot of story on this paring epically if the twist is Katherine has changed.

I just hope you do this kind of story like with Katherine being different even if just a one shot story.

The idea has been bouncing around in my head and if you develop a time line to follow, you could create a one-shot that shows segments. Regardless, I loved this story!
