The Ancient Phoenix chapter 7 . 7/21/2018 Wonderful story! Will there be a sequel |
creativesm75 chapter 7 . 4/3/2018 very good |
OctaviaWorks chapter 2 . 4/9/2016 Where do you get all this research from? |
TaekwondoAssKicking chapter 3 . 3/21/2016 Oooh so Alfred is The Colonists! The European Colonies! He's ALL of them! Kind of like . . . like England. England is Great Britain or the British Empire (depending on what era we're talking), which is made up of Wales, Scotland, etc. etc. The reason why Alfred's thriving is because the Roanoke Colony is nothing compared to the vast, rich Spanish colonies of the south! Good theory? I mean, speaking Spanish . . . I bet he also knows French and Portuguese, too XD |
Wandering to the End chapter 7 . 11/12/2012 This story was amazing and it's well written and it's obvious you put a lot of time and effort in finding out all of the historical information. I really really liked it. |
Leocht chapter 4 . 8/15/2012 I thought the colonists were just run out of the fort? |
HermitsDisguise chapter 5 . 6/12/2012 i really liked it |
In The Mix chapter 7 . 4/27/2012 I absolutely loved this! Seriously! It was amazingly well done and I wish there were more but it's perfect the way it is! I can really see this being canon. A truly great story! |
cneko2 chapter 7 . 4/6/2012 I just wanted to let you know how absolutely wonderful this story is and that I very much admire all the historical research you put into it. I grew up about an hour away from Manteo, so the Lost Coloney was a staple part of my childhood history classes ( both the history and the play). That really makes Lost Coloney!America fics quite dear to my heart, and this one is among the best I have read. Excellent job! |
The Awesome March Hare chapter 7 . 3/4/2012 This is so cool. I love it. |
Dead Account Number Something chapter 7 . 12/3/2011 First, I apologise for only reviewing once. You deserve every review. I read this a long time ago, and LOVED IT. I love historically-accurate fics, and people who find themselves inspired to write about history. One thing I loved is this Hetalia take on a real-world mystery. I loved the interactions, the characterisation, and how much you included non-Hetalia characters. I'm not a huge OC fan, and historical figures are perfect! I also liked the lack of pairings - pairingless fics are so rare, so beautiful... I hope you write a sequel someday. Talon |
Erin chapter 7 . 11/23/2011 I loved it. Thanks for the historical notes, they were very helpful. |
fujikawaii10346 chapter 7 . 8/6/2011 I can feel it too! O_O I... I couldn't ask for a better ending. This was an amazing story, and it definitely needs more recognition! I promise you this: Once I learn how, I'll definitely put it up on the fanfiction recs page on TV tropes. The stories there (that I've read) are really good, and this belongs with them! Can't wait for 1607! D |
fujikawaii10346 chapter 6 . 8/6/2011 1. Another one! Hehe... This is yet another one of the things that stuck. And the way you described Iggy– The page was a young adolescent with a very slim profile. His face was the deceitful kind that would have made one suspect he was a thief, if his clothes – the kind worn by the pages of only the highest nobles – did not make it obvious that he never needed stoop so low as to steal to obtain money...The entire picture obviously spoke of extreme wealth and power, which made it seem rather out of place among the sailors, merchants and craftsmen in the shipyard. – was perfect. Seriously! I don't think that there's a better way to describe him. And it applies to modern fics too! Argh, epic. 2. Yes. Just... Yes. I love how England... Is a little big-headed and a little extravagant, but this was just... Perfect! How you portrayed them... I can honestly say that this is my favorite chapter. |
fujikawaii10346 chapter 5 . 8/6/2011 1. Manteo was praying. (Q_Q) You know, I realized something. You have quite a gift of putting impact into just one sentence. Argh T_T 2. Not much to say... I'm sorry ;; But it's nice to see the story from the other people's point of view, instead of just being focused on the colonists. 3. Another one of those things that stuck with me. And again! With the one sentence– "You are the New World." That one had... Impact. Seriously. I don't really know what to say. |
