I do like that Sugimi is going to work on taking care of how InuYasha speaks to Kagome, but at the same time I am really disappointed that he has not given Sesshoumaru the same beat down, after all when Sugimi died Sesshoumaru became alpha and there for care of InuYasha and his mother fell to Sesshoumaru and he abandoned his duty, and not only that but abused InuYasha every time he saw him, so he is in part responsible for how InuYasha turned out. I also think that Sugimi is being too hard on InuYasha, instead of taking him aside and having a conversation with InuYasha, Sugimi is antagonizing him, granted there is probably not much anyone can do to sway InuYasha when it comes to Kikyou aside of him personally seeing and hearing her betrayal, but when it comes to his attitude in regards to other things a few real conversations might help, not just antagonizing and beating him. Everyone's treatment of InuYasha is just reinforcing his belief that no one but Kikyou and his mother truly cares for him, he knows that his treatment of Kagome is not really right but at the same time I don't think he really knows HOW to deal with his emotions so he reacts with anger because it comes easy. He sees his father not do a thing about Sesshomaru and how he treated InuYasha in not only the past but in the present as well, and then he sees his father move in on Kagome, who InuYasha sees as his, even if he keeps leaving her to go to Kikyou, all this does is lead InuYasha to believe that he is right in his belief that his father does not care about him just like everyone else. Don't get me wrong, InuYasha needs to learn how to treat Kagome and others but at the same time no one is really taking in to consideration how he grew up, how he was treated, but I also have to remind myself that in that time people did not understand that how a child was raised and treated affected their personality and behavior as an adult.

I don't think InuYasha is going to be the only one who their dad will be speaking to. After all if Sesshoumaru had been a part of InuYasha's life and acted as a caring big brother and then later taken him in and cared for InuYasha after the death of his mother InuYasha probably would have turned out differently. Think about it, InuYasha's mother died when he was still a young child and he had no one to look out for him, he had to fend for himself, both humans and youkai alike belittled him and even attacked him trying to kill him so he was always on the run for his life, his own brother made it no secret that he hated him and through he should have died, so he grew up not only not trusting anyone but also bitter and angry, so he lashes out, and so he latched onto Kikyō, the first person that showed him kindness, acceptance and love (however I have real doubts if she ever really loved or truly accepted InuYasha and his half blood status) so he lashes out at those that attack or belittle her, and when he gets angry or frustrated he lashes out as well, not saying that its right but its very common in people that had bad childhoods, all this could have been avoided if as I said Sesshoumaru would have been a caring brother and took him in when his mother died. So where as I really hope Toga puts InuYasha in his place in regards to how he treats Kagome, and the rest of his pack (not counting Sesshoumaru) I also hope he sees this as well and takes Sesshoumaru to task about abandoning InuYasha and being cruel to him when he saw him, because Sesshoumaru deserves it just as much if not more then InuYasha.

Ohh think god, I have been looking for a good Kagome/Toga fic, and this is the first one that I have found that was not so poorly written that I wanted to scream, or the characters where so much out of character that they where almost completely different characters from who they where suppose to be. If I found one more fic where Sesshoumaru acted and spoke like a human teenage girl, or was all emotional, or Kagome was an unfeeling heartless bitch, or abandoned her duty I was going to lose it lol.

what was the accelerant that Kagome used to help the tree burn at a faster rate? this is the 3rd time I read the story and I still can't figure it out. Anyways, I still love this story so much. You are an awesome writer. Hope to see more of your stories.

I really enjoy it so far, but the "rape thing" comment is abhorrent. Each person has a right to say no whenever they wish, even a millisecond before or after penetration. I know that the thoughts of a character do not necessarily reflect those of the author, but Kagome's thoughrs in that moment are terrible and awful.
