Thanks for sharing such a well written story. Too often Xander/Spike pairings feel forced or out of character. Yet in this shot series you took the Xander we know from canon and through circumstance and Xander’s own internal dialogue helped us understand how and why he would come to care so deeply for Spike. I greatly enjoyed reading both of your stories.

During the unwrapping scene, I just REALLY wanted Xander to get Spike a mug that says "I'M THE BIG BAD" on it- ya know, for his blood. I just think that would be adorable.

Great story! Best Buffy fan fiction I've read so far. I loved all of the angst and sexy guy-on-guy scenes. The ending was perfect and totally unexpected.

I had to come here from AO3 after reading a jump to the left. So cute! What fun stuff. Great work.

Interesting how Spike keeps avoiding looking in Xander's direction in those sentimental moments.

That was fantastic. That entire story was fantastic. It's been awhile since I read a fic with such a tensely drawn out build up, and so much romantic drama/angst. I usually don't enjoy it because the characters are too poorly portrayed and their actions are unrealistic, even based on how they had acted previously in the story. So basically, I found it so good because the personalities characters were skillfully outline, and progressed throughout the story. I also enjoyed that you kept things realistic (to the Buffy verse, anyway) and didn't sugar coat anything. Every progression in the plot was hard earned by the characters, and well thought out in relation to past of future events. So thank you. Thank you for writing this and posting this. It made my day.
