I really like this! I don’t get the part about the statue, though... I get the part at the end:
One was making a big deal out of some stupid computer virus... his eyes began to close... he was drifting off to sleep... but just as he did so, he could see it. That statue, right next to him, horizontal on the actual bed right in front of him. The skull kicks laugh echoed but he couldn’t get up, couldn’t run. He felt cold breath on his neck, wet hands on his hips something clammy brushed through his hair. Almost comforting... he didn’t know what was about to happen.

One thing for sure, though. It wasn’t going in the notes
