Timothy Range chapter 1 . 5/20/2014 Actually there was one big flaw with Hermione's logic at the end; she says that Harry's worse than Voldemort because he was always dark and Harry was light but she's wrong. Harry was forced to be light by the Light side he was never given a choice, people like Dumbledore, the Weasley's, even Hermione herself and Voldemort all placed Harry on the Light's side. Harry may have fought Voldemort but most of those fights were merely him trying to survive, not an actual need for revenge. And with Dumbledore's crimes and manipulations the Light side shows itself as far worse than the Dark because the Dark is honest in its evil; they don't kidnap children and place them with abusers 'for the greater good', they don't/didn't shun one of their own and call him a 'deranged liar' and then expect him to save them. The Light side is the one that did all those things and more; worse still is that the worst of those crimes was perpetrated by the grand Leader of Light Dumbledore. If only for the way that both worlds treated Harry, I think they deserve their path; you can't ignore and abuse someone for so long and not expect fallout. Even without the Hallows influence no one would be able to go through everything that Harry has (both from the Dursley's and from the wizarding world and his 'friends', fair-weather that they always are) and stayed sane. That the wizarding world in particular never learns show just how much they deserve to be destroyed, with luck the next thing to rise from their ashes will actually learn common sense. |
Someone chapter 1 . 12/13/2013 Interesting. A Harry who is not truly evil, but instead is a conqueror. He seems to have good motives, and everyone seems to be benefiting under him... Honestly, it's a step up from Fudge. Also, the prophecy stated that she had the power to defeat him, not that she would. This Harry actually seems to be a fair ruler. And it doesn't look like he'll ever be truly evil. The "light side", however, seems like they just don't understand why he is conquering... Harry also looks like he has good morals, sparing the child that could possibly defeat him later on. |
