Damn! What a predator Joe turned out to be. Hope he is convicted and imprisoned amongst similar personalities. Lets see if he likes being forced and violated? Build up to that horrendous event was perfect. Thought Ranger's reaction was appropriate for the situation he discovered Steph in. Short but to the point. Thank you.

Oh poor Steph. And poor Ranger to have walked in on it. Thank god he did arrive when he did. Pity he wasn't earlier. While I liked the ending would've liked more chapters to follow on.

Excellent writing. Sadly, this is all too common and never gets reported. You have done an excellent job, though, showing the victim's feelings and thoughts of a rape by someone they know. Too many men don't understand that no means no and go unpunished.

Well done. I agree with other reviewers-please continue. Need to see Ranger there for her as she begins the physical and psychological healing resulting from such a brutal rape from someone she knows.

OMG - how brutal. And for Steph to think she encouraged Joe. Why do women blame themselves for rape?

This short was intense. Although I can't imagine 'book Joe' being a drunk rapist, you certainly made it easy for the reader to want Ranger to pull the trigger. Sad, scary, good job, though!

He's lucky they saved him cause he's a piece of work. literally.
