I like this story, but I have one suggestion: maybe add a little more detail? I wrote a short story for my English class one time and I hadn't noticed until I was reading it in front of my entire class that I had written a 3 page outline for a much longer story. I'm kind of getting the same feeling when reading this story. I really like your ideas though :D
