This is probably the reason why I don't even read tragedy fics- they're so few and far between and so damn hard to find (the good ones, I mean.) Yours just encompasses the canon relationship, which I really appreciate. :)

And I agree- Matsumoto doesn't seem like the kind to just have sex with everyone... it's just a shallow interpretation of her personality/self if one truly believes that. I really like your characterization of Gin too, since it works so well with canon. I'm kind of confused when you say "Later, he would tell her, 'I'm disappointed,...'" but that's probably because I missed something, somewhere.
