Wow, this story was incredible. Your beginning chapters I was like "wow, this Shepard is really bland" but as I kept reading I understood. This was a hugely complex character, and so gritty and dark. The pain she goes to to isolate herself would be tremendous. Wow, I can't get over how deep this was. Good job, definitely want to read more of your work.

This is a refreshing take on Shepard; she's certainly an interesting character. I'm not yet decided if I think that the articulation with which she speaks really works with her or not. In some parts I feel it could be Thane or Samara speaking those words. I do appreciate that she is /your/ Shepard though, and I think had I not played the games (a pervese number of times!) the character and her story would be incredibly compelling.

As for your actual style, I really love it. It flows well and you're very expressive. It was quite the "page-turner".

You have created a very interesting Commander Shepard. One that, if you're up to it, I think deserves more back story. I know you summarized her history and gave some details in preceding chapters, but someone doesn't become like this for no reason.

Certainly this is different than "typical" Liara-related (or, rather, Liara-tagged anyway) fics-no rainbows and ponies here.

I do hope this Shepard is the center of more stories in the future.

I think you're making me hate my Fem-Shep more then Tali, to be honest. Is Shepard Paragon or Renagade because of the lack of feeling? Just wondering...
