So I've just read this again for I don't know how many times. I like the other stories Altar and Tractor too but this one...there's just something about this one that is very nearly perfect. I love Andy's development and back story in this one. Becoming someone who fits in everywhere and not really anywhere at the same time.
Miranda's "not finished" and Andy's exclaimed "Motherly!" Stand out as high spots in an already fantasticly told yarn. The words sparkle and I adore Dinah Washington.

Always a brilliant story this is one of the best characterisations of Andy I have ever come across. love the well balanced, well travelled polyglot. Would have loved to see more in this universe but I'll take this gem as is and now go and reread some of your other stories. Keep up the good work.

Oh wow. Well traveled and scarred Andy really resonated with me. The scene with Miranda almost worshipping Andy while she undressed her was a masterpiece and the choice to have Miranda talk about her own scars was wonderful. Such a nice one shot man.
