Reviews for To Be
KatzeNoel chapter 1 . 6/22/2012
intriguing
Magic Kirby chapter 1 . 4/24/2012
It's kinda sad how a generic oneshot can get 20 reviews and then this amazing story is only now getting its seventh review. I came into this story not quite sure what to expect and came out feeling amazed, sad, and a little something that I interpreted as write a review because this story wholeheartedly deserves it. Great job with this gem
jquackers chapter 1 . 6/9/2011
I really feel for Orihime. I can't imagine how much pain, guilt, and disgust she must feel for killing that person, even if it was out of self defense. The part where it said she deforms any good meals hit me really hard. I'm glad Tatsuki and her family are there for her; it's heartwarming how deeply they care for her, going as far as taking her in. And I'm glad Orihime is opening up to her friends. I'm sure they would also do everything they can to help. That line, "But I suppose when you're hungry anything is good" is really strong. It left a lasting impression on me.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said in your A/N. Kubo doesn't give enough credit to Orihime for living on her own while dealing with the loss of her only family member. And he doesn't give nearly enough credit to Tatsuki. My heart broke for her during the arrancar arc when she couldn't sense Orihime and Ichigo wouldn't tell her anything (I hate him for that; it wouldn't have made a huge difference whether or not she did know). And I love Rukia, but really, Tatsuki's been there for Orihime for a hell of a lot longer, so it's not fair how she gets shoved aside just because she doesn't have powers strong enough to fight their enemies.

Okay. Gotta stop ranting. Anyway. LOL. Amazing story, really. If it wasn't amazing, I wouldn't have written so much (sorry for that, by the way .). Very deep, emotional, and touching. Thanks for the great read. [:

Wow. Incredible insight and character study. Some spelling and grammatical mistakes, but overall you did an amazing job.

Woah. Amazingly dark at first and then, at the end... wow. :') Great job.
CuriousGeorgiee chapter 1 . 4/9/2011
this is astonishingly sweet! Really nice story. Although you've made me feel bad for Orihime.

Why do you think Rangiku likes Orihime's food, then?
TCurry chapter 1 . 3/2/2011
Simply amazing. Like Everyeye, I'm surprised at the limited number of reviews. This is an interesting piece that delves into Orihime's character and her past just after her brother's deal from a realistic and slightly angsty viewpoint. I enjoy it a lot. The creativity had me reeling, as well as your writing style. Both are exceptional. Thanks for submitting this, I enjoyed it.

EveryEye chapter 1 . 2/12/2011
This is a wonderful story, an amazing character study, and quite possibly the best reason I've ever heard of for why Orihime would eat such strange food. Your writing is expressive, clever, and solid. From a psychological standpoint, this story is both terribly sad and tragic, but hopeful and comforting at the same time. When I was very young, and my family had extremely little money, we ate casseroles almost everyday-because their the best way to stretch a small amount of meat with filler-and at the end of the week we'd eat combinations of whatever casseroles were left over, mixed with the cheapest canned vegetables (beets, creamed onions). I hated it, but I can honestly say from experience that it's true-when you're hungry, anything's good. I think you really captured that feeling in a profound way-it actually twisted my heart a little! Very, very good work.

Also, I just want to say that I'm surprised you don't have any other reviews yet. This is a solid piece of work and that deserves recognition!
