This was amazing. I just watched the episode where this happens just a few weeks ago and I was wondering what the fourth kazekage was thinking. You captured it very well.

I liked that you made the 4th Kazekage less arogant than he was in manga. He began to see what he's done to his village and his own son. And the ending was perfect - he understood all-too-clearly how utterly he failed as the leader of the village and as Gaara's father. Because even if the leader is meant to keep his village safe, there should be a limit to the means he's going to take (at least I think so, but it seems that in shinobi world they believe that the end justifies the means).

Good point-I have to wonder what the yondaime kazekage and Gaara would think when/if they were to encounter each other again. But i really wanted to see Kankuro and Temari's reactions to their father! i think the Kazekage would be very surprised to see the sand sibs. Since they have grown and changed a great deal since the last time they saw each other. I hope kishimoto covers that scene! He will have to draw that scene. Since I just finished reading the part with Asuma in that! I think Yahiko and Nagato will be used, not too sure about that one. I pity Naruto-if that happens-he will have to put them back to rest...Kaubto really did it with Oro-teme's techinque! Because from what I remember-several ninjas are NOT happy about being used to fight for evil...Zabuza was quite vocal in his displeasure.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that, and you're right, he couldn't have known that.

This was very well written and that made it even better to read. I enjoyed the yondaime's perspective on things. Hopefully he can work things out with Gaara.

gaara is the best. i never really liked his dad much, but this was a good story.
