Brilliant idea and thanks for writing as I enjoyed reading this. I liked how you wrote the Dair friendship in this story.

I really did enjoy the story, I felt it was great up until the epilogue concerning Dan and Serena- You wrote yourself into a corner with the constant proposals because after the first rejection Dan would have hit the panic button and thought the relationship had run it's course and was over due to the 'last chance' nature/ Serena would have had no choice but to tell Dan her fears about becoming her mother- in which the relationship still might have been ended anyway since it would seem to be a lack of faith on Serena's part.

However if the relationship continued after the first rejection I can see Dan still needing time to deal with the hurt and if the story were honest Serena would have to deal with some of the consequences that would bring- Dan wouldn't keep proposing after that and the only way it would've worked is if Serena owned up to her insecurites and asked Dan. Men don't take proposal rejections lightly regardless of what mind-numbingly stupid romantic film would say to the contrary.

Instead it seemed you forgot the point of what you were doing and went with what Serena was feeling while neglecting what Dan was feeling while for all intents Dan was steamrolled yet again only this time it seemed Dan could do nothing but accept his fate for the sake of his children.

The wedding took too long to happen and it seemed limped into, It came off as dry and mere formality with really any and all feeling lost on me but more to the point it made a great story end in a sour way, made obvious in which Chuck rubbed Dan's face in the fact that Serena wouldn't marry him- It showed very little class and most of all it was a tasteless barb that held no value what-so-ever.

I'm sorry but the Epilogue reduced much of the 'Derena'- Good story worth reading for those who haven't read it, a Good author with a lot of talent but it was a good story that could have been great.

Story was good, but it belongs under CB and DS not DB.

I can't believe I didn't read this story earlier! I loved it! Also if I can't stand Dair romantically, I like their friendship and you described it really well. But the Chair part was of course the best thing. How he matured and they finally made it, just great. After the final I need happy Chair. I really hope that there will be a chair reunion in season 5, I mean Blair put up with so much of Chuck's bullshit, she deserves to get him when he finally matured. The last episode showed me that they are meant to be!

i felt this story was good... but it shouldn't be categorized under the blair/dan pairing. i mean, those searching under DAIR pairings would be opting for a definite romance of some sort but this entire fic is just basically dan/blair sidelining their friendship and simply being inspired by each other to help their chuck/blair and serena/dan situations. my advice - re-categorize this into the chuck/blair section or dan/serena, because the way i see it, it doesn't fit under dan/blair.

ps don't get me wrong, its a great story :)

but friendship/romance is an ambiguous category - dair fans might be disappointed.

Excellent story! I think you're one of the only authors that manages an even keel between Dan/Blair and Chuck/Blair. I'm not a huge chair fan, well, S3 was sorta pooped that bubble. But I hope you incorporate more friendship elements in your next story, you seem to have a real knack for it.

Just came across this srory and I really enjoyed it. I loved the Epilogue because all the characters in the story got their happily ever after and I love love love stories where Chuck and Blair have a little baby girl :)

Poo...listen I liked your story and you are a very good writter so keep it up. It's just that I am a huge dair fan and I am holding out hope that they will be end game.

You made Serena OOC so i can't hate her right here. Even though i'm still 100% Dair i really like this. It was well executed and somewhat refreshing in it's complex simplicity.
