AshesOnTheWind chapter 1 . 11/30/2014 Heh peasants xD Well they definitely wouldn't be listening in Ireland unless they were unionists, I can tell ya that! But this was really good and England was delightfully stuffy xD |
KnightByDesign chapter 1 . 11/23/2014 Brilliant work. This is one of the movies I count in my top twenty, and I was very pleased to see you had a fic about it. |
Fi Suki Saki chapter 1 . 6/25/2014 I dont know about 'The King's Speech', though i watch the trailer before read this fic. I understand more or less... It was Great...! From England's view, it was nice... |
ChillingShadow chapter 1 . 6/16/2014 I absolutely loved it! I'm so happy! I've been looking for a crossover and did! I wish there were more... It was just so.. Perfect! |
Red Wings chapter 1 . 2/26/2013 My God. Someone has finally done it. My first Hetalia fanfic...my favorite character, crossed with The King's Speech, one of my favorite movies of all time. Thank you for writing such wonderful fanfic. England is very much in character, as he's very snarky and very much a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. His thoughts on Bertie and his past leaders were, would be, very spot on. I loved his thoughts on the other European countries, France and Germany especially. Hehehe. You're absolutely right; why aren't there many The King's Speech/Hetalia crossovers? Never mind. Your fic stands as one of the best I've ever come across. |
Shaded Silvering Grey chapter 1 . 1/16/2013 Thus far, with rough and all-unable pen, Our bending author hath pursued the story, In little room confining mighty men, Mangling by starts the full course of their glory. An appropriate ending, as Henry V epilouge seems to capture more than just story, no? Your presentation is beautiful, as is your premise. While England seems harsh, I realise that you took the "I am not human," approach and I love that. Also, Churchill is a most excellent choice of companion. I have a feeling that our dear Lord of the Admiralty may be one of England's favorite Prime Ministers in the near future. The emotion of the British people was overwhelming and very fitting for such a time as this. Much applause, and many thanks. |
Lamashtar Two chapter 1 . 9/29/2011 Aww, thanks for doing this. I get all sentimental at citizen/nation interaction, even when it isn't my own. And the image of England running, trying to reach the palace, just does something intense to me. I don't think I'll be able to get it out of my head when I think of the movie, even though this is just fanfic. It feels like Americans kind of missed out, because we had no idea of the drama going on with King Bertie. I wish someone would write something of the time he came to North America, though. Supposedly, he was worried about his welcome since his brother had been so much more poised and popular, but Canada was deliriously happy to see him (and be paid attention to) and it was one of the things that made ol' Bertie more comfortable with being King. And then FDR invited him to drop by, since he was in the neighborhood. There's a staged picture of them both standing and the King actually looks happy. I have always wondered what Bertie thought of America's crippled leader-so well-spoken and charming, but at the mercy of the kindness of everyone who could see the truth. |
A Midsummer Night's Dream chapter 1 . 9/6/2011 I like England , Prideful and really fits him. "Not a single one of us has a scrap of human feeling." now I applaud you on that. Yep, they definitely don't. They just reflect it instead as kerricarri said. |
Hellsender chapter 1 . 8/31/2011 I've been STRIVING for a story that is a crossover between these two, and you're the only one who's managed to do it and you've done it so well. Thank you so much, God bless. |
nope13 chapter 1 . 6/16/2011 Beautifully written. I especially loved the use of Henry V and England's differences with humans. |
