I know that I’m years behind, but I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed the story, particularly because I dislike Shane and your portrayal of him shows how cruel he is in his jealousy. I also wanted to know why Claire’s DNA is different to other humans/vampires later. Anyhow, I digress. Thank you for the brilliant story.

Okay, despite this not having been updated in years, I felt a need to leave a review. I adore this fic. Like, actually love this. I've probably read the whole thing through a few dozen times, not to mention the times I've reread passages over and over again because they're simply so beautiful, and feel more like they came out of a proper book than fanfic. I know how difficult Myrnin can be to write, and you are one of very few authors I think has actually kept him very true to his real character. I would have loved to have seen where you would have taken this story later on. Particularly now that Claire has finally started to realize she needs Myrnin just as he needs her. And particularly now that Myrnin is being incredibly open about his feelings. I would have loved seeing where you planned on taking Shane's anger. Was he going to calm down, and forgive Claire? Or was he going to let the anger eat him alive, and become like his father? Or was he going to try to skip town? And what was going to happen between Myrnin and Claire? I like to believe that Claire would, eventually, grow to realize she loves Myrnin, not just as someone to make out with, either. But really, truly, loved him. And I would have loved to see you write that, simply for how eloquently you write. I know other people seemed to not appreciate the way you handled Claire becoming a vampire but I actually think you handled it incredibly. She wouldn't have wanted it. But she also wouldn't have wanted to die, so of course, she would feel conflicted after Myrnin turned her. And I would have loved to find out exactly what was wrong with her, exactly why she needs vampire blood to survive. I thought while reading, that maybe she has some form of connection to ancient vampires. Like Gwion, perhaps, which would have explained the draw Myrnin felt towards her. Although, as Myrnin didn't want to think about what he'd discovered I couldn't imagine it would be something as simple as that. I know it's been years since this has been updated, but I've read it too many times to simply not write about how incredible it really was. I also have to wonder if you're a published author now since your writing is truly good enough for that.
