I think you did a great job portraying a dark version of Yoko. It absolutely makes sense and it’s believable that out of all his years, he’s done some gruesome stuff and certainly out of boredom or just because he felt like it. Dark stuff. Loved it.

Woah. This was really interesting! I enjoyed reading it, despite the dark overtones. It definitely brings some of the Makai's darker sides (those concerning lack of human attachments or sentimentalities especially) to light. "Kill or be killed world" as Hiei put it. Not just casually murdering each other on the street, but that even your bed partner or someone you cared about could abruptly kill you.

And I love the ending.

I just love it. Love it how you keep him just plain the same, not dramatically changing (after Shiori) like I'm sure some Yu Yu Hakusho fanfic have potrayed him. I also love it how you included (what I can currently think of) all differences types of ocs personalities that a fanfic writer may have potrayed their character into. You know, the OC x Character)

Those last two sentences are what make this story truly unique. Bravo.

This is beautifully dark. I like it, considering Kurama's reputation of the past and his canon willingness to trick Yomi into a trap and lead him to his death. All of these are very nice, but why did Kurama kill Ran? Because he commanded nearly as much fear as Kurama?

I like it! He was a ruthless bastard and this makes his relationship with Shiori even more beautiful in the story.

I've read this a couple times over and each time I come back to it, I feel the same: this piece is amazing. Even though you've taken liberties with Youko Kurama, I don't feel like you've taken him out of character - I can certainly believe that these things have happened, even in the canon timeframe. It's funny because you never compromise Kurama's character despite all the awful things he's done. Some of the reasons for his kills were obvious, while others were much more subtle and I really, really enjoy what you've done. I was never bored and you've got a really strong voice. Either way, sorry I never reviewed this earlier - so much love for this fic.

Pretty scary portrayal, although maybe I should say 'scarily accurate'? I really liked it, the way you try and find a more ruthless side to Kurama when so many stick to portraying him as, more or less, a human. Great job!

This was a very interesting piece. I enjoyed it greatly! :D and I think the same thing as you with Youko. There's no way he swung one way. Yomi was rumored to be one of his mates, and so was Kuronue. So there's no way! Lol but anywho, I read that he was three thousand years old on most of the sites and to be honest, who cares? He's an old freakin' demon. Get over it! Lol
